Ministries

Here at Dixie Hills, there are lots of ministries to be involved in.

Such as....

Youth Ministry

The Youth Group is for Middle and High School students. We go to camps, conventions, and have a Youth Worship Service on Wednesday nights at 6:30PM.

Children's Ministry

The Children's Ministry is for children thru fifth grade. TeamKid is on Wednesday nights starting at 6:25PM. Noah's Park is offered to children during the AM Worship service thru the 1st grade.

Senior Adult Ministry

The Senior Adults Ministry is called the M.I.C. which stands for Mature In Christ "We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ." Colossians 1:28. The M.I.C. meets on the 4th Thursday of every month for a pot luck meal.

Nursery

The nursery at DHBC is for children ages 0 to 2. We also have a toddler class for children ages 2 to 3. We provide a safe, loving environment that you can feel comfortable leaving your children in while you attend classes or worship services.

Deacon PACE Ministry

Each deacon has a list of families to “watch over”. He is to Pray for his families, be Available to them, Contact them from time to time, and be an Example for them. Dixie Hills has a deacon election each year. Deacons serve four year terms and must be inactive for at least one year before being reelected.

Our goal is to elect enough qualified deacons that each deacon will have a manageable number of families to “watch over”.

Benevolence Ministry

Dixie Hills contributes our fourth Sunday Night offering to the Benevolence ministry. We help church members in times of Crisis with extra money. We also help those in the community with needs. We don’t give out cash, but Dixie Hills supports the local Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry where we send people for groceries. We have an application for people to fill out and we cooperate with the Police Department when helping people we don’t know.
Men's Western State Ministry
On the first Monday of each month the Brotherhood group prepares sandwiches for the men of Unit G3B at Western Mental Hospital. We have a time of singing and preaching with the men followed by a sandwich.
Women's Western State Ministry
On the last Monday of each month the WOM group prepares sandwiches for the women of Unit G2 at Western Mental Hospital. We have a time of singing and preaching with the women followed by a sandwich.
Pine Meadows Ministry
On the second Saturday of each month, a group from our church goes to Pine Meadows nursing home to visit the residents there. It is a very special ministry, and all are invited to join. Just show up on the second Saturday of the month at 2:30pm at the Pine Meadonws Nursing Home. For more info, call the church office.
